Although the question of whether QM in all industries was important, is answered in the affirmative by 81 percent, only 38 percent of the companies surveyed already have a QM-system according to the ISO 9000 series of standards. This low number of certified company has their reasons: many shy away from possible obstacles, which brings an introduction of quality according to ISO 9001 with it. Before all the high cost and large personnel expenses are valued by more than 40 percent of the respondents as a huge obstacle. Also the increased time spent certainly represents an impairment for 50 percent of the companies. The confusion that can occur when an introduction as well as a disruption of the business processes are viewed by almost 50 percent as negligible difficulty.
There are 48 percent of the respondents think that QM quite generate high added value according to ISO 9001 in the continuous optimization of the products, services and processes. The appearance of the trust to the outside is regarded by 44 percent of those polled also high added value. However, 20 percent promise no added value in reducing the error rate. That a such cost-efficient and resource-conserving QM solution exists, however, is unknown to most companies.
